|21.0975 KM HALF MARATHON - Starts at 06:00 a.m.|
The beautiful river view, tree-shaded route, super smooth roads and professional organization make this one of the top marathons in India and has been duly acknowledeged as such in various magazines including National Geographic which says "GOA RIVER MARATHON is one of the 10 Great Marathons in the world".
Care will be taken to ensure participants are adequately hydrated by setting up hydration points at regular intervals (every 1 ~ 1.5 KM). Every alternate hydration station also has medical aid staff and additionally there will be four or five emergency response ambulances patrolling the route. The route will be closed to vehicular traffic for at least 6 hours. Race officials will be patrolling the route. Photographers too will be placed at strategic points to ensure maximum coverage and also to try and ensure that each and every participant has a good chance of being photographed.
Note: After 10:30 A.M. there will be partial traffic in many places and thereafter full traffic will be open. Any participant running with the event bib after 11:00 A.M. that will be lifted off the course on our vehicles. This is being done for the safety of the participants and under orders of the local law authorities.
Eligibility for the timing certificate:
For marathon: cross finish line within six-and-half hours from start. Half marathon : 3.15 hours. 10KM : 1.45 hours. Timing mats will be removed at 11:00 AM
